George A. Rafuse, CPA
George has practiced in public accounting since 1973 and is a member of the Firm's Accounting and Auditing Committee whose function is to monitor the Firm’s quality control standards and assist in providing technical excellence. He also provides tax, auditing, and advisory services to the lumber industry, manufacturers, and nonprofit organizations.
George earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine at Orono in 1971 and a Master of Business Administration in 1973. He received his CPA certificate in 1978.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on the Steering Committee of the New England Graduate Accounting Study Conference and currently is the Chairman of the Educational Committee of Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers’ Institute.
