Fine Art Exhibitions: Contemporary Landscapes
When clients walk through our doors they are greeted by walls of artwork produced by artists from across Maine. The idea of turning our space into one that displays these rotating exhibits was born out of a conversation between Tom and Judy O'Donnell amidst walls of stock office art. Shortly after their conversation, Macpage held our first exhibition, themed and titled Landscapes.
The opening receptions are free and open to the public. To schedule a tour of the Macpage exhibits outside of an opening, please email Ralph Hendrix at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also view the exhibitions online below!
If you are interested in viewing the exhibition in person, please contact Ralph Hendrix at RRH@macpage.com.
Spring 2016 Juried Exhibition
May 19th to November 11th, 2016
Contemporary Landscapes celebrates the diverse scenery around us, not only highlighting the natural world, but also encapsulating the beauty of the influence of man in a landscape, like the piercing of a power line into a colorful skyline. A trend in contemporary landscape painting is to paint ‘en plein aire’ therefore conveying the feeling or emotion of the location more fully, rather than exacting the details of shape and color. This exhibition features 40 local Maine artists that have depicted the scenery surrounding us in this unique way. Please join us to meet the artists, and enjoy art and refreshments!
