Nicholas, Patrick J., CPA

Patrick NicholasPat has provided audit, accounting and advisory services to financial institutions, colleges, universities, schools, foundations, libraries and museums for over 20 years. He has overall responsibility for client audits, and plans, controls and coordinates related services.

He specializes in assisting higher education clients with endowments, tax-exempt bond financing, split-interest gifts and other contributions, unrelated business income, student financial aid, and federal reporting requirements and management information consulting. He is also experienced with the Department of Education’s regulations and examinations of lenders and servicers of FFELP loans.

Pat’s services to nonprofits include training, and financial and compliance audits. He regularly speaks on the topic of endowments, and provides technical seminars on financial management.

Pat became a Certified Public Accountant in 1988, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of College and University Officers.

He has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University.
