Employee Benefit Plans
As a plan sponsor in an increasingly complex environment facing employee
benefit plans, you know that it is important to have an accountant
that is committed to expertise in ERISA. We have dedicated staff
specializing in accounting, reporting, compliance, and client support
for employee benefit plans. Members of our ERISA group service defined
contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, welfare plans,
multiple employer plans, collectively bargained plans, and nonqualified
plans. We audit over 60 plans and prepare Forms 5500 for many others.
Our ERISA group members regularly attend national conferences on employee
benefit plans and are current with the latest developments in this field.
Macdonald Page is a member of the International Foundation of Employee
Benefit Plans and the Maine Employee Benefits Council.
In March 2004, the firm was the first in Maine and one of the
first in the country to join the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit
Quality Center. The Center’s mission is to improve
the quality of employee benefit plan audits by establishing the highest
quality standards by which members are required to adhere to remain
in good standing. The
Audit Quality Center also provides a forum for information-sharing
with other ERISA specialists throughout the country.
